Brian Michaels wins the Mike Smith Trophy in 2026.

Every year for 32 years, the Edgewater Golf Group has retired to the Sea Island community to play golf in a two day tournament at the King and Prince or Sea Island Country Clubs on St. Simons Island during the first weekend in May, coinciding with the Kentucky Derby. 

This year, tournament host Henry Pfingstag took several players to the Sea Island Golf Course. 

The tournament winner receives the Mike Smith Trophy, named for Mike, who was trampled to death by a rush of teens at the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert in Berlin.

The road trip marks the end of one golf season and the beginning of a new one.  Below are some memories of past seasons.
